History the stamp represents: Flowers come in all shapes and sizes, with many acting as natural examples of fun geometric principles. However, the reverse is also true – geometric principles can be used to make floral designs. One famous example is known as the Flower of Life.
The Flower of Life is a symbol consisting of 19 equally sized overlapping circles. In the areas where these circles cross, small flowers are formed, giving the symbol its name. When only 7 circles are used, it’s called the Seed of Life. In Sacred Geometry, the Flower of Life symbolizes life and the formation of the universe. It also represents the idea that all life is connected.
The Flower of Life symbol has been around for thousands of years. Archaeologists found it in the ancient Osireion in Egypt, a mosaic floor in the ruins of Pompeii, and more. Historians have even suggested that Leonardo da Vinci’s famous work The Vetruvian Man was partially inspired by the Flower of Life symbol. The Flower of Life also can be seen under the paw of a lion guarding the Forbidden City in Beijing. In Christianity, the Seed of Life has associations with the Holy Trinity. It’s fun to discover the hidden origins of such recognizable symbols.
